LOOSE STOOLS-HOME MANAGEMENT

Loose  stools  and  Dehydration  arise  from  unhygienic food or possible contaminated food items .  These  are  very  common  ailments  which  needs  emergency  care  to  the  children  starting  from home  itself , before  you  reach your  paediatrician .  This  condition is commonly termed  ACUTE GASTEROENTERITIS.

Oral rehydration solution ( electral ORS drink, electral ORS powder, rebalanz ORS etc  for examples )  are  the mainstay  in the treatment  of  dehydration correction .  But  it  may not  be  available  to all  if  the child  gets  illness in midnight  hours,  the  medical  shop is not  accessible  to u , noone  is  available  to help  you  for this  to  bring from  medical shop  or  hospital.

You  should  understand  and  realise  that  DEHYDRATION CORRECTION is  the  main  treatment  option  to  avoid  complication  in children with loose  stools.

There  are common home  available  fluids  and  food  items  which do  the same  correction of  dehydration as  the  ORS would   do  ,  which you  can  prepare urself  in  your  home .  This  can be  very useful  for  your  children  and  buy  time  for  you  to  visit  your  paediatrician  .

Here  are  some  of  the  home  based  fluids  and food  items.

OPTION  1  :  THE  BEST  OPTION 

FLUIDS  WITH  SALT  :

SUGAR  40 GRAMS  +  TABLE SALT   4 GRAMS +   1 LITRE OF WATER

THIS  IS  GIVEN  CONTINUOUSLY    TO  CHILD  BY  TUMBLER  AND  SPOON SLOWLY  UNTIL  YOU  REACH  YOUR  PAEDIATRICIAN.

 

OPTION 2 : THE  BETTER  OPTION 

FOOD ITEMS  WITH  SALT

ITEM 1.RICE  50GRAMS + SALT 40 GRAMS –  MAKE  IT INTO  KANJI

ITEM 2. LASSI  WITH SALT  ( YOUR  OWN  WAY OF MAKING SKILLS)

 

OPTION 3 : ( LAST  OPTION )

ITEM 1.

PLAIN  WATER  , LEMON  WATER ,  COCONUT  WATER  , SOUPS.

ITEM 2.

THIN  RICE  KANJI  ,  DAL WATER  WITHOUT  SALT  TO SUIT UR  TASTE  AS YOU
